Over the winter this year the Green Keeping team plan to undertake the following works on the Lakes Course:
· Topping up the fairway bunkers with sand.
· Levelling of all bridge approaches.
· Levelling of bumpy Par 3 tees.
· Removal of some trees around ponds to bring water visually into play.
· Thinning out of scrub area to the right of the 17th green.
The Links Course will also benefit from the following improvements:
· Adding Sand to some fairway bunkers.
· Unblocking of greenside drainage.
· Improvements to tee markers and Out of Bounds posts.
· Holes to be filled around the course.
· Bunkers to be rotivated and greens and fairways to be aerated.
· Fairway bunkers on 17th hole to be filled in.
Through careful planning of the winter maintenance and improvement programme, we hope to build on the success that we have had with both courses this year. We think that you will all agree that both courses have been in their best condition for years this season and we hope to continue to improve them next year.
