Dear Members
Due to the recent rainfall it is our intention to keep the Lakes Course closed for at least another week. As of 7am today we have had 103mm (approx 4") of rainfall since the beginning of January and to let the course be used whilst the ground is still so soft, will undo any benefits of resting the course for a month.
We will endeavour to keep as much of the Links Course open for you as we can, however this in itself is proving to be a huge challenge for the green keepers as the water simply has nowhere to go and it continues to rain.
We hope that you understand the need to do this, and know that you will be reaping the rewards when the weather dries out, and the course is in even better condition than last year.
Kind regards Gary
